What counts as a person?
A person is one record in your directory — one member, attender, child, visitor, or homebound friend. That is the whole rule. The following never add to your count:
- Staff and volunteer logins — pastor, secretary, treasurer, leaders
- Households shared by several people
- Groups like the choir, deacons, or a small group
- Tasks, notes, email lists, events, and bulletins
Example: a grandmother and her granddaughter count as 2 people — even though they share a household, sing in the choir, and receive the prayer chain.

Pricing, answered plainly
What counts as a “person”?
One person with a record in your directory. A member, a regular attender, a child, a visitor you are keeping in touch with, and a homebound member each count as one person. You can see the current count in your directory at any time. There are no separate charges for children or visitors.
Do staff and volunteer logins cost extra?
No. Logins are separate from the directory and always free, on every plan. Your pastor, secretary, treasurer, and ministry leaders can all sign in without adding to your count.
Do households, groups, and lists add to the count?
No — only people count. A grandmother and her granddaughter are 2 people, even though they share a household, belong to the choir, and sit on the prayer list. Organize your people however your ministry needs.
What happens when we reach our plan’s limit?
Everything you have keeps working, and nothing is deleted. You just can’t add new people until a church owner moves to the next plan, which takes a minute from the Billing page. There is never a charge per extra person.
Can we bring our existing records?
Yes. Import a spreadsheet saved as CSV, such as a Breeze people export, and review every row before anything is saved. You can export all of your church’s records at any time, on every plan.
Is anything held back on the free plan?
No. A small church needs the same tools as a larger one, so there is nothing to unlock and no module to add. The plans differ in one way only: how many people are in your directory.
What if our directory has more than 750 people?
Email info@parsonageapp.com and we will set up a custom plan with you. You get the same features as every other church.
